Reminiscing THE CORRS

Finally got my ticket for Andrea Corr's concert this coming October. But honestly I don't know if I'll be able to watch it or not, but all I know...I REALLY WANNA WATCH IT!



Its almost been a decade or 11 years since the last The Corrs concert and all I can say...it was the best concert experience that I ever had. I will not forget the magnitude of cellphone lights that engulfed the Araneta Coliseum that day. Its a hair raising experience for me.

I was in grade school back then, preparing to go to school when I hear a beautiful voice coming out of the radio singing Runaway and since then I've been converted to became a full blown The Corrs fanatic.

I save money to buy their albums. Of course back then I can only buy a tape since CD cost a fortune, but of course being me, I save and save until I can buy their CDs.

I know I completed all their CDs and their concert DVDs but of course there are people who borrowed your stuff and doesn't even bother returning it. Where's my TALK ON CORNER CD?!!!??!!

Might be wondering why there's an EVITA and SWORD OF CAMELOT VCD in my collection, FYI, Andrea Corr appeared on EVITA singing Where do we go from here along side with Madonna and for the Sword of Camelot she's the singing voice of the girl there. I think it was looking through the eyes of love that she sang. But on the soundtrack it was LeAnn Rimes.

Anyway yesterday when I bought the tickets my sister was utterly shocked that Im not buying the VIP ticket to think that it only cost 4500. Yeah that cheap and I dont even have the freakin money to buy it. But honestly I know deep inside I can buy it but Im really not sure if I'll still be here in Manila that date. My sister never failed to mention the incident 10 years ago on how I left here on the street in my hurry to go back home because I forgot my ATM so I can pick up my reserved ticket for their concert. I asked her yesterday if she wanna watch the concert..of course she want to but in a condition that we will watch on the VIP. I told her she must shoulder half of her ticket price but then again...she doesn't want coz she knows she might end up watching alone.

I just hope there will be some sort of contest for a meet and greet. For sure I will try my best to join that contest...yes things that I will do...

Incubus Live in Manila

As many of my friends know, Im a big fan on Incubus since I was on High School. Me and 2 of my officemates watched the concert last night held at Smart Araneta Center.

I was so excited to see Brandon Boyd. I have this huge crush on him and I so love his voice. Franco was the front act for the said concert and sadly I don't know this band so I didn't jam so much in their music, I only ate my food while they are performing. I know, I know, I should really try to know local bands...Show starts at 8PM and then Incubus started playing at around 9:15PM.

Just hearing Brandon's voice makes my hair on my arm rises. Gosh how I love their songs! Sadly some of my fave songs was not played like Stellar, and then 2 of songs that I like on their new album, friends and lovers and If not know when. Last Incubus concert, Brandon totally goes shirtless but last night he just tease us. Didn't take off his shirt! tsk tsk....

Pictures? No I didn't take any... I really found the joy of not taking a pictures on a concert. Its all captured in my mind. Hahaha!

All in all...what can I say, the show rocks, though its not a sold out performance, I see some vacant chairs and tickets are still being sold on the day of the concert. Till next Incubus concert.

I know I know...Im so busy to post...but quick reminder on Sunday its the Women's World Cup finals!

Jailbreak IPAD2

Finally there's an official release for the jailbreak of IPAD2. I tried to jailbreak my ipad2 yesterday but I was unsuccessful now I know what seems to be the problem.It only works for OS 4.3.3 so if your OS is below that you will get an error. So I suggest you install first 4.3.3.

So how to jailbreak the thing? Its so easy, just follow the steps below:
1. Open Safari and point it to www.jailbreakme.com

 2. Click on Free and click install. It will now install Cydia on your IPAD.

 That's it! Its so easy!

Just install your fave apps such as winterboard etc! Here's the new look of my IPAD2. Too bad im not patient in waiting for the jailbreak, I bought most of my fave apps. Anyway Im still gonna look for others to install.

The Golden Girl, The Aphrodite...KYLIE MINOGUE!!!

A day to remember for me. One of the best concert that I ever been to! Im a big fan of Kylie Minogue ever since I was in high school. As soon as I heard the announcement that Kylie will be having a concert here in Manila, I shouted immediately in facebook where my gay friends at so we can watch this concert. Sadly most of my friends are now residing abroad. So in short, me myself and I, for the concert and I don't care, its Kylie's first time here and just because I don't have a companion to watch this show doesn't mean I will not watch it! So there, when the ticket released, I immediately reserved one for myself and the following day I went to Araneta Center to get my reserved ticket.

Fastforward: July 5! It's raining cats and dogs and I only got 2 hours sleep but who cares! I was on Gateway as early as 4:30PM (oh yeah Im not shy to admit, IM SUPER EXCITED!!!) and gate will open at 6:30PM. Show probably started around 8:45PM. And let the great show begins! Below is the set list(no so sure if its complete) but since Kylie is so in the crowd she said let's make history! She sang Locomotion and Especially for you! She mentioned that she never sang these songs to her Aphrodite tour so how great was that Manila?! (I remember Lady Gaga's concert here, she sang also a song that she said it's her first time to sing in tour). Too bad she didn't sing I should be so lucky. I sing along to that song growing up! :D

From the beginning until the end of the show I was on my feet dancing, screaming and clapping! Kylie have fabulous outfits, fab male dancers and amazing props! She said "I can't believe it's my first time here. How wrong is that? Naughty! Naughty!" Yes naughty naughty Kylie! You should frequently add Philippines on your concert tour!

Ah I almost forgot, the stage was scaled down. As you know Kylie's stage for this Aphrodite tour cost almost $25M but this stage was scaled down in Araneta because our venue is small. No fountain can be found. I was expecting the fountain especially on the last song All the lovers.

Sorry folks, I didn't take any pictures during the concert. This is the first concert that I never took a picture nor a video and I can say it feels great! Im totally focus on the show! 

This concert is the best concert I ever been to! After the show I somehow kinda miss The Corrs since the happiness that I feel during Kylie's concert was the same happiness that I feel when I watched The Corrs almost 10 years ago?!
