So have you heard the buzz? PS4 is on the way! Can you still remember your first Playstation if you ever had one?
Im a late bloomer. I had my very own Playstation 1 when I was 2nd year high school. Most of my classmates have it. Thankfully my cousin from the States gave me one so SCORED!!! But yeah, most of my classmates will talk about Crash Bandicoot, Kitty Kat on some dance dance game or such. First time I got a chance to hold the console was on a field trip at Subic bay. And yeah the game was Crash Bandicoot. When my cousin gave me the PS, that was the beginning of endless nights and play. Mind you Im a gamer. If you'll go to our house you can see atari, nintendo64, super NES, gamecube, game and watch and gameboys. Almost all the consoles! But PS was a revolutionary gadget.
At first I only have 5 games, and those where original games. But since piracy is a hit, I modified my console so it can play pirated CDs and oh yeah RPGs baby! From Final Fantasy VII to IX, Tactics, Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, etc. So many games! I seriously don't know how I survived HS with me playing all the time and sleeping during class hours!
Then came PS2. I was already a college graduate and working when I had this console. And I bought it on Ebay 2nd hand. I only have few moments with PS2 since I only played Final Fantasy X on it and a lil bit of X-II. I don't know I never liked much of X.
Then PS3! I was there on the official launch of the product in Makati. First 200 or 20 in the line who will buy the console will get a freebies! Yeah I was one of them. Got God of War III and Final Fantasy XIII as my freebie! It was such an impulse buy for me specially I don't have money at that time, but thank God for credit card!
Time to migrate to Canada. And I am sure I can't bring my console so I sell my PS2 and PS3.
Here I am living in the true great north, and I bought myself a PS3! That's the 2nd thing that I bought since landing here. First thing that I bought was a parka since it was winter that time! haha!
So PS4...im sure Im gonna buy one. Hopefully they will release a decent Final Fantasy game on it!
