Election whatever

Its so disheartening to see the result of the elections in the Philippines. It makes my blood boil! I thought my fellowmen are intelligent enough to vote the right politicians. Sadly those corrupt and no background at all gets elected on my native land. With all the media exposure about the running politicians I thought they would know which one is good and which one is bad. Bribery still works, but come on people for PHP100 or whatever the amount it is that they gave you can only give you a day or two of good food. Did you think about the future? Oh its so unthinkable! I really pity the future of the younger ones. I know how hard life is in the Philippines especially to those who doesn't have any job or those who are minimum wage worker. It is a known fact that we the middle class are the ones who really get the hit. The poor is accustomed with their living and most of them just accepted the fact that nothing will change. Rich people still gets richer and greedy, while us the middle class always finds way to live and we struggle! And most of the time, we the middle class are the one who helps the needy! Most politicians just do their job when its election time. Once they get elected, nothing...nada. And as a typical Pilipino habit someone needs to blame someone. I read on social forum that they are blaming people who migrated to another country.  Who lost hope, left the country, and gave up democracy They are saying if we want to see change in the Philippines, be part of the change...don't leave. Hello?! Really?! I found it irrational and somehow bitter. If there's an opportunity for you to live a better life in another country, you wont take it? Would you rather live in poverty and everyday you'll think how you can survive this day? And those people who migrated are considered the modern day hero of the Philippines coz they send out money to their families. Sending out money means revenue! So stop being a hypocrite! Accept the fact that we screwed up. If you want a change, start it with yourself. Don't blame others. Help people on your own way. It doesn't need to be in monetary. Volunteering does the trick! Anyway Im really happy that my officemates are still continuing the charity work of giving school supplies to children who are enrolled on a public school. Im a product of a public school so I know how hard it is. Over crowded classroom, not enough equipment and the list goes on and on. I remember one time that my school got caught on a fire and burned to the ground. Our class is being held under a tree for more than a month before we can go to a classroom where other class is being held also. Yup, that's true to life! That is why as much as possible I donate because I've been there, done that. I'd like to share some pictures that my officemates took when they are distributing the school supplies.
